I found him through Operation Standby and through my JAG officer at Pendleton. He helped me through my divorce and was able to settle all of the issues. Very easy to talk to and get ahold of, and a very sharp guy. I later found out that he had helped a couple other guys in my company, which all could do nothing but speak good things about him and their experiences. I no longer live in CA but if I had any issues I would call him.
My controlling ex-husband thought he didn't have to pay support for our long term marriage among other things. My attorney gave me options for ways to proceed and after much consideration I decided to go forward with one, just as every position I made in my divorce. As a result, my children have a home to live in, I have support, and most importantly, I no longer have to deal with an overbearing person! I felt that my attorney cared about me, really listened to me, and helped me out a lot.
Terrazas is a sharp lawyer, but completely unethical. He is unable to exert any client control while defending their refusal to cooperate. He allowed a case in which he represented the mother that resulted in increased custody for the father every time to languish in court for three years. He allowed his client to violate the court order, refuse to co-parent, refuse to settle, and saturate the father with borderline frivolous discoveries. His practice costs both parties a combined 200k+.
It says on the home page of his website, "Our goal is in finding practical, cost efficient solutions to any and all legal problems you may be facing. " That they will try and work with you out of court, he didn't try to work with us at all. We made several offers out of court, that were quite fair for the children, and in fact he encouraged his client to go to court and get more money, on top of trying to enforce the court to court order for us to pay for his services: over $10,000 retainer fee
