Matthew F. Mimnaugh is an Associate at DeCotiis and a member of the Litigation and Labor & Employment practice groups.

Prior to joining DeCotiis, Mr. Mimnaugh served as a general litigation attorney for a prominent Mid-Atlantic firm and has extensive experience in labor, employment, and civil rights, having served as Chief Counsel to Commissioner Keith E. Sonderling of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Mr. Mimnaugh advised the Commissioner on all policies, regulations, and statutes enforced by the EEOC, including the Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. As Chief Counsel, his duties also encompassed providing the Commissioner with legal and policy advice on litigation, amicus briefs submitted before federal appellate courts, and guidance pending before the Commission. Mr. Mimnaugh also served as senior labor counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, where he assisted in passing the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, and as Special Assistant and Senior Policy Advisor to the U.S. Department of Labor under Secretaries Alexander Acosta and Eugene Scalia.

Mr. Mimnaugh received his J.D. from Boston College Law School and his B.A. in History from Lafayette College, where he graduated magna cum laude. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
