He told me a price of $1400 for the adoption / Parental Rights Termination "unless something crazy happened." I found my ex-wife. I presented the papers to her to sign / notarize. There was nothing out of the ordinary. I did his work for him. He didn't even show up for the hearing, his Para-legal did. He then sent me a bill for an additional $2200. He fudged an itemized bill. I called him out. He relented once I threatened to make a Bar-complaint.
