Christopher Wheless joined Nolan Barton Olmos & Luciano in 2022, shortly after he received his J.D. from McGeorge School of Law. Christopher graduated with Great Distinction and earned entry into the Order of the Coif and the Traynor Honor Society.
In law school, Christopher excelled at legal research and writing, earning the GLS Best Appellate Brief Award and two Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence. He worked as a Summer Law Clerk for Nolan Barton Olmos & Luciano, assisting with multiple federal trade secrets cases. During his final semester of law school, Christopher served as a judicial extern for Justice Ronald B. Robie of California’s Third District Court of Appeal.
Prior to law school, Christopher owned and operated a small business that provided trial support services to civil litigators across Northern California. During that time, Christopher participated in more than twenty jury trials, an experience that inspired him to pursue a law degree and enter the legal profession.
Christopher joined Nolan Barton Olmos & Luciano eager to advocate passionately for his clients and to act as a check on the overwhelming power of the state and federal governments. He represents clients in a variety of criminal matters, including cases arising in the state courts as well as complex white-collar cases and those alleging violations of the Economic Espionage Act.
Christopher is admitted to practice in California state courts and federal district courts in the Northern, Eastern, and Central Districts of California. He is a member of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
