Nancy Tragarz is Of Counsel with Slovak Baron Empey Murphy & Pinkney LLP, practicing in the areas of estates, trusts, probate, employment, civil litigation, and municipal law. Ms. Tragarz started her legal career with the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office as a Certified Law Clerk and was an extern to the Hon. Ronald S.W. Lew, U.S. District Court Judge. She went on to work at multiple law firms, practicing in a variety of areas of law including civil litigation, estate planning, employment, real estate, commercial, banking, bankruptcy, and municipal law. She has also served as in-house General Counsel. Ms. Tragarz has successfully tried over 30 cases, argued before the Court of Appeals and has two published opinions in her clients’ favor. She has sat on numerous public agency and non-profit boards and presented seminars on non-profit law. She is currently serving in her fourth term on the Walnut City Council, where she has served as Mayor.
