Helgesen personally witnessed my ex lose his temper during a mediation and then coached him to calm down by telling him it would not look good in court if he acted that way. When Helgesen visited my home, my son had been sick with strep throat for 5 days, had a high fever and hadn't eaten during most of that time. We had just returned from the ER and I had tried to reschedule, but he insisted on visiting. He then reprimanded me for allowing my son to lay down. Helgese misquoted my daughter who explained to him the things she had seen happen in our home and criticized her for having a child with her husband before they were married, but never addressed the fact that my ex had cheated and was living with his girlfriend, exposing our son to their affair before he had even moved out.
