Anastasi & Associates, P.C. is a law firm established in 1951 with an office in Oxford, MA. At this office location, there are 2 lawyers practicing family law, domestic relations, divorce and 9 other areas of law.
Mr. Anastasi continued our case in the inappropriate court, and once he finally realized that damages could not be collected in this court, he withdrew from the case and left me with not representation.
He was more concerned with billing me and collecting money than representing me. He was not very well prepared and I had to remind him of things and events. He cost triple of what my wife paid for her lawyer and her lawyer was more competent in my opinion. I would not recommend him to anyone except my enemies.
In the beginning of my experience with E. John Anastasi of Anastasi & Associates, P.C. 245 Main Street Oxford, MA 01540-2338 I found him to be well spoken and understanding. In retrospect, it felt like a sales pitch. As far as actual work on my case he was unprepared, disorganized and many times completely unaware of hearing dates and motions. He told me I could do something without penalty only to be penalized after having done it. Overall, my case was far worse off after his involvement. The bills were super inflated. He chewed through my retainer within weeks, nearly 10k, demanded more money and ultimately withdrew from my case. In my opinion, this behavior gives lawyers overall a bad name. I would share more but fear repercussion for speaking out. I would not reccomend this office to ANYONE, except an enemy.
After months of repeating myself and doing all of my own research I have somehow already blown through my entire 3500$ retainer. I’m constantly in the dark about my own case and have to call this office repeatedly for any information. I am told I was emailed information but never received anything on multiple occasions. I am extremely dissatisfied with every single aspect of this firm. Waste of money and time. I am no further now than I was 8 months ago.
