Thilges & Bernhardt, Attorneys at Law, LLC is a law firm established in 1991 with an office in Overland Park, KS. At this office location, there are 10 lawyers practicing drafting and negotiation of pre-marital or post-marital agreements, filing of divorce, annulment and paternity actions, negotiation of equitable separation agreements and 10 other areas of law.
In my divorce case, I was very skeptical that mediation would be possible and that a trial would be required. We were very far apart on several key issues heading into mediation. Even my attorney was not sure if mediation could be successful. Fortunately, I was very pleasantly surprised with the exceptional professionalism, quick understanding, and negotiating techniques utilized by Jacquelyn Bernhardt. In about 3 hours, Jacquelyn took us from a scheduled trial to an agreement that both parties could live with and sign that day. I was impressed. The firm was not aggressive enough for my liking.
Having my account automatically debited for substantial amounts of legal fees without benefit of reviewing bill in advance, was horrendous. Never in my 40 plus years in the legal business have I ever run across this billing method. There were numerous instances where there was double billing – the para and Ms. Isaacs performing the same service. I was referred to this firm by a reputable trial attorney. In the end, there was not much gained in a matter which was substantially agreed upon.
Absolutely terrible. They will help rapists and child molesters attempt to keep their kids (and keep good parents from seeing them). They are absolutely terrible humans and should be ashamed of themselves.
