"There are many attorneys who represent persons charged with DUI / DWI offenses in Kansas and Missouri. However, only a handful of such practitioners concentrate their practice in the area of DUI / DWI defense and Driver's License Law. I have represented clients in thousands of DUI / DWI situations since I moved to my present location in downtown Overland Park in 1987. Of those clients, I have taken hundreds of cases to trial with successful results in most of those cases.
I see myself as a person able to sift through the volume of evidence that may be involved in any single DUI / DWI occurrence. My goal is to be able to advise the client whether there are any viable defense issues in the matter. There is always a better way to resolve a DUI / DWI situation - based upon the situation of the client and the facts of the DUI / DWI event. I seek to educate my client as to the law that may pertain to their unique set of facts and circumstances. It is my goal to educate my client as to the facts in his or her case and to have my client involved in the decision making process. I feel that it is important to let the client know if his / her situation may or may not go to trial, the trial implications, and the possibility of being successful in the event the matter is taken to trial.
For many persons, the ultimate goal may be to do whatever is necessary in order to preserve driving privileges. With this understanding, I not only take the necessary steps to obtain available information regarding the criminal DUI / DWI situation, but I also draw upon my extensive amount of experience and knowledge of the driver’s license law.
I also understand that the cost of defense is generally a realistic concern for most individuals. As such, I strive to obtain a successful result for as little cost as possible.
In essence, my goal is to have a client satisfied with my representation at the conclusion of his or her case."
