Hired Attorney

My family was highly disappointed in hiring this firm for the probate case of our youngest brother. After our initial consultation, which went well, we found Scott inaccessible and uncommunicative. His staff were ineffective, made frequent promises ("Scott will call you tomorrow") that weren't kept, and seemed to have minimal competence. One paralegal was mildly belligerent. It took five weeks for the staff to complete the first drafts of documents in our case (pleadings and waivers for the heirs) and they were still riddled with errors. These are fill-in-the-blank forms that took no special legal knowledge to complete -- the attorney we hired after we fired Scott had the initial drafts of these same documents completed for our review within an hour after we hired her. Our problems with staff mirrored some of the same things mentioned in Scott's public reprimand by the bar in 2024. They seem not to have improved. If you need a probate attorney, please hire someone else.
