Went with my mother to visit Ms. Rogers. She assisted mother in her Durable Power of Attorney and Health Care Directive, as well as her will. She was compassionate, quick, and reasonable.
It is true, you get what you pay for. Ms. Rogers was inexpensive. However, she totally failed me during the mediation process, she was not aggressive enough to demand to from the other lawyer the papers we needed and other matters which she did not address throughout the prep for the divorce. There is a lack of professionalize in her correspondence, communication with clients and her office is totally unkempt. If you have NOTHING to lose and are broke, then she may be the lawyer for you. I had much to lose and I did.
Does not communicate well and expects you to do all of the work you pay her for. I almost lost my car because she did not pay attention, I had to fix myself. Tells you that she does not feel like certain things are her job (which clearly are and thats what you pay her for) and she does not tell you that you are to do something she does not want to do, it is simply ignored like it will get done magically on it's own. Still not sure everything is taken care of. Very strange person.
