About Mr. Thomas C. Pena

Thomas C. Pena was born and raised in the South Florida area. He attended the University of Florida and Florida State University College of Law.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Pena accepted a position as an Assistant Public Defender with the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit in Sanford, Florida. During the time he spent with the Public Defender’s Office, he represented hundreds of clients charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses. As an Assistant Public Defender, he represented clients in over forty jury trials. In 2006, Mr. Pena moved to the Tampa Bay area and worked for several years at a small general practice firm. During his time there, he worked in the areas of family law, civil litigation, Social Security Disability, bankruptcy, criminal law, real estate, and probate matters, amongst others. Mr. Pena also worked at larger firms in the Tampa Bay area that focused on the areas of civil litigation and foreclosure.

Mr. Pena relocated back to the Orlando area in 2014, and began working for The Nation Law Firm practicing exclusively in the area of Social Security Disability. Finding this practice of law very rewarding, he continues to do this today at Morgan & Morgan, representing individuals at hearings before Administrative Law Judges. He is admitted to and has practiced in the courts of the State of Florida, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He speaks Spanish. --
