Tad A. Yates has practiced law in the Central Florida community for 25 years. His practice is dedicated almost exclusively to the defense of persons accused of crimes. Mr. Yates represents clients charged with all misdemeanors and felonies, including but not limited to Drug Offenses, DUI, Sex Offenses, Battery, Theft, Domestic Violence Offenses, Juvenile Offenses, Fraud Charges and all traffic crimes.
In addition, Mr. Yates represents clients in appeals of criminal convictions and in Rule 3.850 Post-Conviction proceedings. Mr. Yates achieved the highest rating for legal ability in Martindale-Hubbell. He has been named a "Florida Super Lawyer" and was selected by Florida Trend Magazine as one of "Florida's Legal Elite." He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Florida and the University of Florida College of Law. He has served the legal community as President of the Orange County Bar Association. He is President-Elect of the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar, and has held various other leadership roles in the Central Florida Legal Community.
