Experienced Central Florida Criminal Defense Lawyer providing exceptional, personalized representation to persons charged with criminal offenses.

Tad A. Yates has practiced law in the Central Florida community for 25 years. His practice is dedicated almost exclusively to the defense of persons accused of crimes. Mr. Yates represents clients charged with all misdemeanors and felonies, including but not limited to Drug Offenses, DUI, Sex Offenses, Battery, Theft, Domestic Violence Offenses, Juvenile Offenses, Fraud Charges and all traffic crimes.

In addition, Mr. Yates represents clients in appeals of criminal convictions and in Rule 3.850 Post-Conviction proceedings. Mr. Yates achieved the highest rating for legal ability in Martindale-Hubbell. He has been named a "Florida Super Lawyer" and was selected by Florida Trend Magazine as one of "Florida's Legal Elite." He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Florida and the University of Florida College of Law. He has served the legal community as President of the Orange County Bar Association. He is President-Elect of the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar, and has held various other leadership roles in the Central Florida Legal Community.

Hired Attorney Tad A. Yates

I live in Maryland and my son lives just outside Orlando Florida. He has had several run ins with the local police department who now seem to be watching him and targeting him. Tad and his staff, especially Cathy, have come to the rescue on several occaisons with very clear, thoughtful guidance, advice and represenation. For the most part I have communicated with them by phone since i do not live in Florida. They listen very well, think very well and reason very well and they have resolved difficult issues in both a timely and thorough manner. I recommend them wholeheartedly, without any reservations.

Time spent in any legal process can be stressful. Tad is a great communicator and put me at ease with the process. His knowledge and plan of action where exactly what I needed. I would definitely recommend giving his office a call if you are in need of council here in Central Florida.
