About Smith, Feddeler & Smith, P.A.

All injury attorneys since 1968. Allow our family to protect your family. Call us today.

Work can be your passion, trade and livelihood. To lose your work or have it adversely affected by an accident on the job can be devastating.

Few people understand the physical, emotional and financial hardships that this devastation can bring to a person's life better than H. Guy Smith of Smith, Feddeler & Smith, P.A. In fact, his life's work has been shaped by this understanding.

The story of Smith, Feddeler & Smith, P.A. actually began in 1942 with Gordon Elmo Rodgers, uncle to H. Guy Smith, who fell while working in a saw mill in the rural town of Cross City, Florida. He was paralyzed from the waist down and spent the remainder of his life as a paraplegic as a result of the fall.

Due largely in part to a lack of knowledge of the Florida Workers' Compensation Law and inadequate medical treatment, he died at the age of thirty, only fourteen months after the accident, leaving behind his wife and small children.

Years later his son, Jimmy, fell five stories while working as a carpenter and sustained massive injuries and multiple spinal fractures. Fortunately, he sought legal representation from his cousin, H. Guy Smith.

Previous to this event, Mr. Smith had been primarily involved in the representation of insurance companies. However, sharing in the experience and perspective of an injured family member and personally observing the devastation brought on by an accident on the job, his career focus changed drastically.

H. Guy Smith left the representation of insurance companies and there after pledged his practice to the representation of injured individuals to ensure that they and their families are treated fairly and receive all of the benefits to which they are entitled by law.

In Summary:

Smith, Feddeler & Smith, P.A. represents only injured individuals, not insurance companies.

Our firm represents injured individuals to ensure that they and their families receive all of the benefits which they are entitled to by law.

We have a unique history and understanding of the physical, emotional and financial hardships due to an accident or serious injury and work hard to be remembered for what we do for our clients and not for a catchy slogan.

Hired Law Firm

I highly recommend this law firm, they went above and beyond my expectations. I am extremely pleased and grateful with Kevin Balentine as my attorney. He is a strong advocate for his clients. I can't thank him enough as he went out of his ways on so many levels.

I found all individuals I came in to contact with to be professional, knowledgeable and competent. One thing that especially impressed me is that endeavored to be extremely accommodating to their clients. Their demeanor was such that a client was made to feel very much at ease making an unpleasant situation more tolerable.

Hired Attorney Mr. Edward T. Mason

Ed Mason is one of the BEST attorney's that I have ever came across. He's honest, to the point and very compassionate. After speaking with Mr. Mason's associate (Debbie) we fired the Tampa firm and went with Mr. Mason. He doesn't care much for cracker-jack attorneys.(my choose of words) The Tampa firm had the case for 2-3\4 yrs. Mr. Mason had the case in court and won within max. of 6 months. Even had the Judge asking "why did it even get this far?" I only wish that we'd had him from the start.

They don't return calls in a timely manner. When they do, after leaving several messages, you have to present your case to them so that they know who you are. You would think they would at least look up your case before they call you. You have to do your own footwork, data collection, and hand it directly to them via office visit in order to see any progress in your case. They should be sued to remove their website from "www.wherethepeoplecomefirst.com" to "www.wherethepeopledontmatter.com".

Do not use this lawyer. It does not communicate well. You'll be dealing with his staffers not him. I literally had to Drag him across the finish line.

Nothing really has been done on my case and he never can recall things. I pay attention to the jcc and they hate that. I've had surgery and he had no clue as well. His staff gets mad when I call and try to ask questions as well I'm not impressed with thus firm at all and it scares me i have placed my trust in them and my body as well
