I am writing this to document a serious concern regarding attorney Elizabeth Tener of Greenspoon Marder LLP, based on a pattern of conduct that appears inconsistent with the ethical and professional standards expected of members of the Florida Bar. Throughout several documented interactions, there have been instances suggesting a disregard for professional candor, accuracy, and fair dealing in her role as legal counsel. Specifically, communications and representations made to opposing parties and third parties appear to have included misleading statements, omissions of fact, and directives that could reasonably be construed as encouraging actions not compliant with Florida law or court orders. These incidents have raised legitimate concerns regarding her adherence to Rules 4-8.4 (Misconduct), 4-3.3 (Candor Toward the Tribunal), and 4-1.2(d) (Prohibited Conduct) of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.
Professional and Community Involvement
Ms. Tener has also stayed active in the community despite her significant workload and client needs, volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank and the Junior League thrift shop as well as being a strong supporter of the Runway to Hope charity for the past several years. She recently committed her time for IMPOWER, a non-profit mental health and child well-being organization in Central Florida. Ms. Tener was also appointed and serves on the Standing Family Law Rules Committee and the Ninth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee D of The Florida Bar.
