Alexandra Cristina Mena is an Associate in the firm's Orlando office, practicing in the areas of catastrophic and personal injury, insurance defense litigation, liquor liability defense, micro-mobility/e-scooter litigation, premises liability, product liability, security negligence, trucking accident defense, and vehicle negligence.
A first-generation Cuban American, Ms. Mena graduated cum laude from Barry University School of Law in 2021, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. During law school, she was an active member of Trial Team, the Environmental and Earth Law Clinic, and Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, gaining valuable experience in advocacy, client relationships, environmental law, legislation drafting, and leadership.
Before pursuing her law degree, Ms. Mena graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Music from Loyola University New Orleans. There, she was engaged in opera performance, choir ensembles, music therapy, and philanthropy with the Delta Gamma Fraternity for Women. Her academic and extracurricular pursuits reflect her passion for creativity, discipline, teamwork, and charitable endeavors. Additionally, she enriched her global perspective through study abroad programs in Spain, Ecuador, Belize, and Guatemala, with a focus on Spanish, Biology, Conflict of Laws, and World Culture.
In the Central Florida community, Ms. Mena serves as Past President of the Barry Law Alumni Association, Guardian ad Litem Pro Bono for the Legal Aid Society and Board Member of the Orange County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section. Further, she has presented a Continuing Legal Education course on the Basics of Liability Defense for The Florida Bar's Young Lawyers Division. She also mentors law students and other young attorneys about the practice of law and building significant professional relationships.
Outside of work, Ms. Mena enjoys spending time with her spouse, reading, playing fetch with her golden retriever, Chief, going out on the water, and visiting Orlando theme parks.
