I hired an attorney at Mr. Reidy’s firm whom I felt was trustworthy and confident my divorce would be resolved quickly. She left the firm a few weeks after hiring. I wasn’t happy about starting over with a new attorney and was reassured everything would be fine. Issues I had were: my monthly expenses were never covered by my spouse even though he was the breadwinner, several times I waited a lengthy time for a very short call, billing me was the only thing done efficiently. After a year I no longer wanted them to represent me and they kept billing me. They claim to be a Tribe that every member knows what is going on with every client. It’s true, if it sounds too good to be true it’s not.

Over the course of a few months: attorneys left, paralegals walked out, billing manager quit, and a staff member that TOLD people he was a paralegal (he never was) walked out without notice. All the while, they never told their clients their attorneys quit - even when the attorneys gave the owner, Brian, notice. Multiple appointments were missed without notice, costing time and lost wages. Urgent emails went unanswered for weeks. Promised follow-up actions never happened. During active litigation, the firm was more focused on billing than advocacy. Overall operation feels disorganized, transactional, and indifferent to ethics towards the client. Divorce is hard enough without surprise attorneys, silence when you need guidance, and billing you don’t trust. I ultimately terminated representation and would strongly caution others to look elsewhere. They are incapable of the basics. Brian lacks integrity overall with his firm.

This was one of the worst law firms I’ve dealt with in Will County. There is extremely high turnover, and the representation was ineffective. The firm was passive and lacked clear strategy, often framing inaction as “with dignity.” I would not recommend this firm.

total waste of time and money - nothing accomplished in the time between hiring, paying five thousand dollars and being fired for running out of moneys they knew got fired prior to hiring them and have major financial constraints due to this legal situation i am in. once they fired me, i told them the remaining balance in my retainer (less than 400) got returned to a credit card account that is already closed. i told three different people i needed a check or electronic transfer because of my identity and credit issues due tk this divorce: they out it through in the credit card anyways and i was told that is their policy and they could do nothing .
