About Mr. Clement Clay Torbert III

Clay Torbert was born and raised in Opelika, Alabama. He was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1992. He received his B.A. in 1987 from Washington and Lee University and his J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law in 1992, where he was a member of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board.

Clay is a member of Capell & Howard's litigation section. His practice involves all types of civil litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. His clients include numerous banks and credit unions throughout the State of Alabama. In addition, Clay has significant experience in handling estate and trust litigation matters. He also practices in the areas of ERISA litigation and construction law.
