Mr. Peterson attempted to help my alcoholic brother change my demented mother's estate plan. My father died on 12/24/21. In April of 2022, Peterson drafted a quit claim deed at my brother's request adding his (my brothers name) to my parent's home. I contacted Peterson in July as soon as I learned of this. I informed Peterson that my mother had dementia and that my brother was an alcoholic and that my parent's already had estate documents. I provided Peterson with a letter from my mother's primary care provider documenting her dementia diagnosis via fax and certified mail. Non the less, Peterson met with my mother and further meddled in her estate planning. Peterson charged my mother for these services and a retainer to represent her at a hearing. The Probate court appointed an attorney ad litem ex parte for my mom so Peterson provided her no services. He represented my brother but had my mother pay for his representation.
