The only way I was to get any fair treatment or rights was to keep paying more and more money. After a few thousand dollars it was apparent no matter how much I was going to spend I was getting what he called the "standard deal" which is little time with my son and bankruptcy. I've lost my home due to the decisions of the court with his representation and am unable to financially move forward.
Hired James Adams for contempt/custody issues in Jun 09 and by Apr 10 my $3,000 retainer was gone and I still had not been to court on either case; even though I hadn't seen/talked to my older children in five years and youngest was getting drugged and abused. He took my money in his bank account and withdrew from the case when he wanted me to give up the cases as the Father and I said NO. He doesn't care about Fathers or the children. Will turn him into Bar Assoc. for disciplinary action. BAD!
The other poor reviews make sense. Heavily implied that because I didn’t know the name of my son’s superintendent, or my ex’s lawyer from over a year ago off hand that there was no way I could actually be a good parent. Refused to listen to any actual details or concerns, and instead berated me for not knowing the name of the judge off hand from a separate case over a year. Extremely unprofessional, sounds like Jessie Ventura, and happy I did not give this maga dude any money.
Don't waste your money or your time.He will tell you all the things you want to hear, however he will not respond in a timely manner. He will use your resources unsparingly. He will not get you the desired outcome. He will bleed you dry until you have no money left.
Only thing he does is try to get the most money out of you as possible. He will ask for things that had nothing to help in the divorce case. Fights things that aren’t worth fighting. Something that I should have just paid which was only a couple hundred dollars. He fought it and charged me over $10k. He acts like he’s on your side but really he just wants your money. I paid $3 to every $1 my ex paid and she got just about everything she wanted.
