While putting out our dogs into our fenced back yard, my wife saw a large dog running at her from within our fenced back yard. After getting our dogs inside, she armed herself and went back out to see if the dog was still there. When it attacked her, she shot it. The COunty Attorney filed a felony animal cruelty charge against her.
Mr. Davis was passionate about her defense and after only 2 hours of deliberation, the jury returned a not guilty.

I would not recommend this attorney to anyone and wonder how he can do so well with other clients he has represented. Thru family members recommendations I helped my daughter get in contact with him because of her mother passing away at work. I was there with my daughter gave all the info we had and asked if there was an agreement to sign because we wanted to hire him, and he said no. I was concerned but thought ok and see how things go with this case. We had a meeting to got I sent my Mother with my daughter I had an appointment and Mr. Davis had my Mom pay him $1500 to do an estate for my daughter mom. And told my mom that there wasn't an agreement to work the case yet. Plus he told us in the first meeting he don't get paid unless we win. 4 months later my daughter signs an agreement because his firm believe we have a case. Four months after that they e-mail my daughter to say they are dropping her case. They didn't do anything with the case or estate so he trying to keep the $1,500.
I have decided to not hire Mr. Davis as my attorney and ask for a refund. Mr. Davis is not giving my refund back to me.

Hired Davis for Appellant practice. He had his Associates write the brief and argue the case before the Appellant Court. I lost my appeal because the brief filed by his office was not professionally wrote. They failed to bring to the courts attention all arguments that could be considered on direct appeal. I paid a lot of money to have a professionally drafted brief filed and argued on my behalf by James Martin Davis.I wasted my money. I would not recommend this attorney and his staff to anyone.
