After being a client for 25 years our attorney retired and we had completed our business with the firm. Then the firm informed us that they were billing us for $15K worth of items that had not been billed before and put a lien on my commercial property. Not acceptable.
Working with Bonnie Boryca, she came across as if she were knowledgeable on guardian/conservatorships and undue influence of a vulnerable adult, but 'gave in' to the opposition consistently. She did not advance or benefit my case, despite ensuring me that there was a very good chance as per NE law. Major lack of communication and fall through on her part, particularly when she felt she was not capable and basically disappeared, avoiding, failing to respond to emails for weeks despite there being hearings promptly looming. Knowing it was a large firm and there were other attorneys that could assist or pass the case to, including a newly licensed attorney that had involved in the case from the beginning and specialized in what my case entailed, Mrs. Boryca refused to allow anyone else to take over. The suppression of critical evidence, lack of assertion, detrimented my mother's well-being and finances. Inaccuracies in comprehension led to failings in proper application of law.
