I hired Mr. Canon in October 2020 to help determine paternity and custody of a newborn. What I experienced was a 3500+ nightmare. Mr.Canon did not respond to my emails which is one of the ways I was told to contact him. I always had to follow up my emails with a phone call. This usually resulted in me leaving a message and having to wait weeks for a return call. The opposing council was able to do whatever he wanted, and Mr. Canon never had any counter measures or strategies to recommend. After one year there was not one court date or mediation scheduled or attended. The kicker was opposing council ordered child support, and I was advised by Mr. Canon not to pay and a motion would be filed to amend the amount. No other communication was had until October 2021 when Mr. Canon sent me an email saying I was ordered to pay 2250.00 in back child support. Needless to say I am out of child support, his fee, and I have to start from scratch with a new attorney. He failed to live up to his word!
