My experience with Miranda Long as a Guardian ad Litem was deeply disturbing. What I share here is restrained but meant as a warning to others. Anyone who doubts this should look at her record in cases that have been appealed and the repeated concerns raised in those matters. The most serious issue was the failure to meaningfully investigate legitimate safety concerns for the child. Instead of carefully assessing those concerns, they were dismissed, and the actions that followed appeared to increase stress and instability rather than provide protection. She also overstepped her role during litigation by making “recommendations” and telling one parent they could proceed without agreement or a court order, treating those recommendations as if they carried judicial authority. Communication was inconsistent, referrals raised concerns, and billing appeared balanced on paper while the substance was not. Overall, this process caused more harm than protection.
