We have worked with David and his firm for about 6 years. He also helped with my father’s death and estate. I felt he was slightly over priced but incredibly helpful overall. He is responsive and great at explaining what needs to be explained. He is compassionate about sensitive topics and his team is very helpful. I would recommend this firm to anyone who needs a knowledgeable professional.
Professional, no nonsense, very knowledgeable, presents all options and works hard to provide excellent work and product. Definitely would recommend to anyone who needs assistance with their estate planning, probates or guardian/conservator stuff.
He was a good lawyer for the price but he took a long time to get around to getting something done.
Characterized as an organized and thorough company, but a bit expensive for the services rendered.
They are good at working with you if you don't have a lot of money and help you in making recommendations of what to do. They got better over time with communicating by sending a monthly status update which helped me know better what was going on with our situation. They are well versed in the construction lien laws.
Involving SK in our case has destroyed our family. Despite the secretary's assurances that Kenyon Dove wouldn't be biased toward LDS members, he most certainly was. My ex-husband (a priesthood "holder") lied many times in his documents and to the kids (was even fired for lying during our temporary orders), interfered w/every visitation, refused to comply w/tenants of the order Kenyon himself included, neglected our girls' medical, dental, and academic needs routinely throughout the entire time, and frustrated every effort to continue my bond w/our children, putting his stamp of approval on them calling me a "piece of sh*t" and addressing me as "B*itch." Kenyon's only answer to this heartbreaking ridiculousness was, "K--t's not a perfect father." To make it all worse, Kenyon charged us $10k for nothing to be accomplished except for my ex to continue his destructive choices. I've learned court orders in UT are meaningless and a Mormon man can do anything he wants w/a free pass from SK.
David Knowles is pompous and condescending. If you want someone who hides his incompetence behind a holier than thou attitude and uses his religion as a way to make financial gain and gain your trust, then David is for you. He over-promised and greatly undelivered.
Simply put: Unethical. Lazy. They don't take the time to research basic legal aspects. They do love to over bill though. Their conduct violates state, local and federal law. I have a feeling they will end up going out, soon.
I would not recommend hiring Adam. Throughout the time he represented me, he regularly did not contact me with information, which led to issues with the courts. In my opinion Adam is not qualified to go to court or deal with Opposing Council. The biggest mistake I made was hiring Adam. Do not make the same mistake.
Horrible experience with this firm. Assigned to perform an evaluation for a civil court case. Delayed and extended a report that did absolutely no good. More than double billed what was quoted & necessary to provide a worthless report which we then paid our Real attorney to review and present to the Judge as such. Wouldn't work with us at all on billing a reasonable amount. My advice, which sadly is extensive from a crazy civil side due to choices not my own, is to stay far away from this firm.
