Does not care about his clients. Only wants to attach liens above and beyond the agreed upon fee. If you try to leave, he will threaten to attach a lien to every aspect of your settlement, which is illegal in the state of Mississippi. He does not respond to calls or emails and if you actually do talk to him, he is very childish. I would not recommend anyone use this attorney. And when I say attorney, I am using that term lightly. I would love to see his credentials. He probably bought them out of the back of a van.
I hired Jay Foster with a $3,000. Unfortunately, my experience was unsatisfactory. I felt he did not actively advocate for my case, and I received no viable alternative solutions. During our initial consultation, there was a noticeable lack of a clear strategy. Over a six-month period, despite ongoing communication, no tangible progress was made. I strongly advise potential clients to: Request a detailed plan of action. Clarify the expected methods and strategies. Establish a clear timeline. It is crucial to obtain these details before paying any retainer. I felt my concerns were minimized, and I perceived a lack of engagement in my legal matter. The extended "research" period, lasting over six months for a seemingly straightforward administrative issue, was particularly concerning. Ultimately, I did not feel adequately represented or supported as a client.
The person exhibited unprofessional and dishonest behavior by seeking compensation beyond the case's worth. Assuming full responsibility, I managed all casework, bills, and x-rays. After terminating our agreement and offering $7,000 for his minimal efforts, he placed a lien on my settlement.
