The firm’s primary service areas include: Marion, Lake, Alachua, Citrus, Sumter, Levy, Hernando and Volusia counties. However, our firm is hired to do trials as north as Pensacola and as far south as Miami and the Florida Keys.
The firm’s areas of practice include: Family Law, Civil Litigation, Criminal Law Personal Injury, and Estate, Trust & Probate Law. The firm’s partner’s, Kristopher and Melody Vanderlaan were born and raised in the State of Florida, and are thus deeply rooted and involved with their state and community. Through that commitment to family and home, they have a grown a successful law practice benefiting Ocala and all of North Central Florida. Both Kristopher and Melody are former prosecutors with the Fifth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office and have worked both sides of criminal cases. They understand the complexities involved in all areas of the firm’s practice and know when it is beneficial for their clients to settle their case and when it is appropriate to take those issues to trial.
