Mr. Horton was not only highly comfortable to deal with, even on personal matters that arise during a divorce, but he made me feel valuable at a time when I questioned that about myself.
I was very happy with Mr Horton's service.
He told us we stood a good chance of getting our money back if we went to court and the judge said that there was no recouping of fees in Loudoun County when its and "enforcement" case. He also filed a counter-motion that the judge said would not be considered in Loudoun, as only the original filing was on trial. He likes to talk a lot, but if you end up in court for 3 days as we did, you're in big trouble. Even with his incompetence though, we won. Shouldn't of made it to court!
Carl was completely worthless, not even reviewing my settlement agreement. He asked me to do it, summarize I what I thought about it, shipped it to the other attorney, and charged me. His written skills are indecipherable. Securing his services was a complete waste of time and money as in the end I represented myself with no legal knowledge.
Our experience with Mr. Horton was a nightmare. He did not understand our case yet accepted it and proceeded to make a mockery of it and us as his clients in front of the judge. He was unprofessional and misguided us throughout the entire process. Unfortunately, it got to a point where it actually became too late in the case to change attorney's. We lost our case and on top of that had to pay the attorney for my husband's ex-wife. Please get a "second opinion" before hiring Mr. Horton!
