Ayana has been in practice for 15 years. Curry’s focus includes Civil Rights Litigation, Appellate Practice, Law & Motion Practice. Curry is instrumental in teaching new law clerks how to write claims and complaints.
In 2014, Curry appeared before the U.S. Supreme Court for oral arguments in Sheehan v. City of San Francisco. She also argued the case in the 9th Circuit overturning District Court dismissal in Sheehan.
In 2021 Curry argued in the US Supreme Court. The court upheld the firm’s victory in Tan Lam v. City of Los Banos, which found evidence that a police officer had been diagnosed with PTSD two-years earlier was relevant to his credibility and his ability to accurately perceive and recall the incident, and affirmed the jury’s verdict that the officer wrongly shot and killed our client’s son Sonny Lam. Curry is a mother and she holds a Black Belt in Wun Hop Kuen Do Karate.
