Hired Attorney

He had all information in his possession for 6 weeks prior to initial court date and failed to complete the documents required until the DAY of court. I was emailed a copy of the documents AFTER the set court time making it impossible for me to comment on them. As a result a new court date was set and his fees doubled. Responsiveness as a quality typically consisted of me leaving 3 messages over 2 weeks with a question and no response until I repeatedly asked he just tell the secretary. Horrible

Michael Hanson has been completely unresponsive and unavailable for counsel after receiving his retainer. The case he's representing is on its 3rd continuance with absolutely no communication from counsel. Hire this guy at your own risk, I can see he's really racking up the review rating here.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
