About Michael J Cartier

I care about my clients.  When a client thanks me at the end of their case, it makes me feel like I did a good job and that my client is happy.  This is why I am an attorney.   I focus on family law and personal injury: divorce, child support, visitation and custody;  car accidents and slip and falls.  My office also does real estate closings and wills and probate work.   I am a retired U.S. Navy, Judge Advocate General Corps Commander (O-5).   I have been practicing law since 1985, and have been here in Norwich, Connecticut since 2002.     We do not chage for initial office consultations.  If you have a legal issue and feel you may need the assistance of an attorney, pleaes feel free to call me.   Thank you.

Hired Attorney

Attorney Cartier is so personable and me feel very comfortable. My first meeting with him brought me much comfort, as I was full of anxiety beforehand. He answered all my questions and set out a plan to move forward, helping me to reach my goals. In the end, I was very satisfied with Mr Cartier and his office's meticulous care, and understanding!

Hired Attorney

All Mr. Cartier did was prepare documents, which every lawyer should do. The big issue I had is that he didn't want to fight for me. All he did was give me the stipulations that my wife wanted. I could have done that myself and saved over $7,000. I would not recommend him to anyone.
