Dignified, moral and ethical, she was gentle in her handling of my needs and resolute in defending my interests. Our objectives aligned: a fair and equal division through negotiated settlement. This outcome, which at times seemed like trying to pin down a blob of mercury, was arrived at with a minimum of drama and acrimony because she advised me to let her do her job and I took a backseat from there. We were dividing a business, not settling a score. Appraising the two parties’ assets was more problematic than average: five houses; trusts; wills; royalties; a joint return 165 pages long- agreeing on the values and subsequent division felt like a game of Three-Card Monte. Leslie managed to keep track of my interests and called a halt to negotiations when they were served, then forged ahead and kept the process on schedule. Even on the final day in court is was touch and go whether we’d get to yes. I feel very fortunate to have a mutual friend.
Leslie has been my attorney for 14 years. She has guided me thru my divorce and a very ugly child custody. Her calming ability has kept me on tract during dozens of court appearances. Even when my ex threatened her, Leslie stayed fair and works in the best interest of all family members. Leslie is a five star attorney.
Leslie has been our guiding light for almost 10 years. During my husbands divorce, and the many issues that followed, she stuck by us, thru some very difficult and emotionally exhausting times. Her legal advice and common sense were and still are, greatly appreciated. We would strongly recommend Leslie Brown as a family attorney.
Leslie is a great attorney, and she is the most fair lawyer that I have ever met in my life. She will ask you what do you want her to do for you, and you should know that answer before you show up at her office. Once you both have figure out what she is going to do for you, she will fight in that direction. I had a very unique case with a woman from another country that was seeking arrears to birth child support. She was able to keep me from having to go to trial by working with the opposition lawyer to settle. It might have cost me a bit more money than I was hoping to spend, but it saved me a lot that I didn't have to shell out in trial hiring experts. The negotiation for a settlement was expensive, but I think it saved me tens of thousands of dollars in the end. Leslie fights hard and she negotiates very well and has years of knowledge to fall back on. She is a very "Let's get down to business" lawyer, which makes me appreciate her! I'd recommend her highly!
Did not win my case. Was not driven in my case to win. Not a fighter. She was to complacent and relaxed. Yes she held my hand, but would rather have her fight for me and mycause rather than pacify me. Sheneeds to give 100 percent. With me she did not.
