Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.I paid Stuart Vess $2500 to get my record sealed and he took my money and did what he wanted to do! Here it is 5 years later and I’m thinking that my record is sealed and I applied for some good paying jobs and they are telling me that my background is showing what I’ve paid to get sealed! I immediately get to digging around and I found out that yes he got my record sealed but not what I paid him to seal! Now I’m having to hire another attorney just to get the job done!
Stuart Vess handled my clemency case.. The petition he prepared was sloppy at best and had to be sent back 3 times to be retype. I could had easily prepared the petition as well as he did.. When it came time to meet with the clemency board member, Vess suggested that I lie to the board member about past criminal history.. Even I know that they dont ask questions unless they allready know the awnsers. I was VERY unhappy with the little work that Vess put into my clemency case and the $6,000. he charged my mother..
Stewart Vess violated my sixth ammendment rights. He did not honestly represent me in a court of law I paid him his fees. At his judgment he suggested we take a judge trial. At the judge trail he did not call the witnesses we had brought to court in court who would have proven my innocence. He also informed me that he grew up with the judge and they socialize together. Mr Vess is nort an honest man much lee an honest lawer
i needed him to work for me and as long as i was giving him money he did.he did not advise me "what my best options were." nor did he argue my innocence in trial.subsequently i was sentenced to 15 yrs in prison under a law (70%) which meant i served 10 years of the sentence.now i have a crime on my record that i am not guilty of,so record keeps me from being able to obtain suitable income in the work force.
TERRIBLE - all about the money.
