Unfortunately, I would not recommend this lawyer. I hired Ms. Desroches for a family law and protective order against my ex, and our 3 kids. At the hearing for the final protective order, my ex represented himself (prose') and at the end of the hearing, the judge denied our final protective order for both myself and our 3 kids against him. Ms. Desroches did not come with evidence, and ultimately lost my case for me. She was not prepared, and I went away very frustrated. Don't get me wrong, I want to help out fellow women of color advancing the practice of law, but I did not get the help I needed. Now I am looking for another lawyer.
