Selina M. Ellis maintains a diverse complex civil litigation practice with an emphasis on employment matters, contract and securities disputes, class actions, and intellectual property litigation. Her experience includes representing employers in federal and state courts and arbitrations, including breach of contract, restrictive covenant, and theft of trade secrets claims, as well as claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the New York Labor Law.
Prior to joining the firm, Selina was an associate at Connell Foley LLP in New Jersey and Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP in New York. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Dennis M. Cavanaugh, United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey, for the 2010-2011 term, and to the Honorable Barry T. Albin, Associate Justice, Supreme Court of New Jersey, for the 2008-2009 term. After graduation from Wesleyan with High Honors, Selina earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Cardozo Law Review, and was a Dean’s Distinguished Scholar. She is fluent in Farsi (Persian).
