Kevin Windels has focused his practice on professional liability and commercial litigation for more than 30 years. He litigates a wide range of matters representing insurers, insureds, and a variety of private clients in cases involving professional liability, including, lawyers, accountants, and other professionals, as well as insurance agents and brokers, registered representatives, broker dealers, financial advisors, pension consultants and other financial services professionals. In addition, he has litigated cases involving directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, ERISA, fidelity bonds, as well as numerous high profile insurance coverage matters in all of the above areas.
Mr. Windels also litigates a variety of complex commercial business disputes. His practice has brought him to trial before the state and federal courts in New York and he has arbitrated cases before the American Arbitration Association, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and other dispute resolution entities. He has argued numerous appeals before the appellate courts of the State of New York and has argued before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Windels has also participated in numerous mediations, both privately run and court-sponsored.
