Ellen Bloom is an associate in our New York City and Long Island offices, where she practices in aging services, labor & employment, medical malpractice, and general liability law.
During law school, Ellen worked as a law clerk for a solo-practitioner, where she gained valuable experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, family legal services, and general civil litigation. Ellen completed her Juris Doctor at Tulane University, where she was inducted into the law school’s Pro Bono Krewe, having completed hundreds of pro bono service hours. She earned a certificate in sports law, alongside her J.D. at Tulane. During the summer of 2023, Ellen studied and earned certificates in intercultural negotiation and mediation at Humboldt University in Berlin.
Previously a summer associate with HBS, Ellen gained experience working as an extern for the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. Prior to law school, Ellen spent time in the health care field, working as a consultant for Attest Health Care Advisors and as an associate for Freedman Healthcare, LLC. During graduate school, Ellen worked as an independent contractor for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and as a policy intern for the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD). Ellen also worked for two years at an intellectual property firm in Washington, D.C. as a trademark administrative assistant.
In addition to her law degree, Ellen holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University.
