Barbara’s practice focuses on commercial litigation and community association law. She attended the University of Oklahoma as a National Merit Scholar and graduated cum laude in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She earned her juris doctor degree in 2010 at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she obtained American Jurisprudence Awards in contracts and employment law courses, and was a member of Phi Delta Phi honor fraternity. Barbara began her legal career in Oklahoma and moved to Florida in 2011. Prior to joining Wright & Casey, she defended employers in workers’ compensation claims, represented individuals in family law actions, advocated for businesses in civil litigation, represented local government entities in various matters, and defended property insurers against first-party breach of contract and declaratory relief actions. Barbara is admitted to the Florida Bar, the Oklahoma Bar, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is an active member of the Volusia Flagler Association for Women Lawyers, the Volusia County Bar Association, and Dunn-Blount Inns of Court. She also serves on the advisory board of the Port Orange Family Days Trust and is a member of Florida PEO Chapter JE in New Smyrna Beach.
