This office uses ableism and misogyny to attempt to control and harm clients. Do not hire them. It is not an exaggeration when I say: every single thing Ben Misko told me throughout this process was completely wrong - from the process itself, to how the judge wouod behave, to prepping me to be ready, to the insurance information he claimed his client use "all the time" that doesn't exist. Ben Misko is an awful lawyer. I hired him primarily to prepare me for hearing and to communicate with SSA because their office makes it impossible to if you cant go there in person. He never once provided me with the accomodations I asked for in my first call. He never once scheduled a call with me, either, just expected me to be ready for sensitive info whenever he called. Every single time I asked for my aide or a witness to be on the call with Ben, he FREAKED OUT. If your lawyer refuses to have a witness, fire them. Don't hire Ben Misko or even speak to him alone.

Absolutely irresponsible. No trauma informed training. So much ableism and misogyny and just terrible practices are used in this office. They are CLUELESS about what impacts disabled people and clueless about setting up their communication to be helpful. It is really heartbreaking that the people who take money away from disabled people with no income also treat them like they are worthless, while they kiss the feet of judges causing harm. Ben Misko must have been in love with my judge bc he treated the judge SO MUCH better than me as his client. Every single thing Ben told me - from prepping the case to the insurance I could get when he failed to do his job for me - was wrong. Every single time Mabel claimed to have spoken with SSA on my behalf, it didn't match what SSA told me after. Aaron didnt communicate a single accomodation I told him I would need in my intake interview. Ben acted like he never even heard of the word accomodation. Your health and your case will lose with them.
