While I and my wife have had extensive (combined 40 years) experience with attorneys in the New London area, including high quality work with this firm under previous management . . . I'm sorry to report that seeking the help of Mr. Chipparone for my estate (residential real estate transfer needs) was disappointing. They charge (and do disclose) $500 up front for first consultation which we paid based on our prior experience and the expertise claimed . While we prepared a summary of our needs in writing, that 1.5 hour was not productive, involved only listening to us, little guidance, apparent lack of understanding of basic real estate and accounting questions, and the only action item was setting up the next appointment. We held off, pending answers to accounting questions. Prior to cancelling that follow up, we received a retainer contract with a request for an additional $1000; short answers came shortly thereafter with added billing, but were not value added. He is not recommended.
I received no communication whatsoever from this company or any other. I am still in need of an attorney in Connecticut to handle a commercial property sale and to collect back rent. I do not know where to turn.
