Since 2015, Tyler has acted as the Middlesex County Coordinator for the New Jersey State Bar Foundation High School Mock Trial Competition. The High School Mock Trial Competition was first started in 1982 and now features over 200 teams from each of New Jersey’s 21 counties. Each year, between 12 and 15 Middlesex County High Schools take part in three days of mock trial competitions held at the Middlesex County Courthouse. Superior Court Judges and experienced attorneys from Middlesex County act as the judges during the competition. The winning school from Middlesex County then moves on to the regional competition.
