Brick, Jones, McBrien & Hickey is a law firm with an office in Needham, MA. At this office location, there are 2 lawyers.
I was Maureen's client for 3 years during the implementation of the new MA Alimony Reform Act. Maureen handled negotiations and litigation including a trial and an appeal. Maureen is highly ethical and principled, patient and persistent. I strongly recommend Maureen as an attorney to handle any type of family law matter.
I hired Maureen McBrien to represent me in a family law matter. She was unavailable, and handed off almost all work to a junior attorney. She and her associate were unable to complete work on time. We missed court deadlines for filing either a Motion for Temporary Orders or a Response to Motion, which had a strongly adverse effect on the case.
Jim Brick is never responsive to the inquiries he receives. He comes to the meetings knowing nothing and excessively charges his clients and then he comes to the court and tells the judge that his client doesn’t have money. Well, the client has money to pay him to come to the court and talk nonsense and do nothing. It takes months to receive documents from his client and he is ignorant of his client's conduct and violation of the rules. He lies all the time. You cannot trust any of the information he gives you or your attorney because documents prove that he lied. He is going to only waste everyone’s time, money and energy and get nothing done!
