I was represented by Nickolas for the better part of a year. Over that year he failed to help me understand my charges or even the basic nature of the court process. Throughout the many court dates he failed to explain the purposes of my appearances, instead I was told to just keep showing up. He repentantly told me to be patience and that there was little he could do to help his client at this point in the procedure. Over that year we had maybe 4 or 5 conversations mostly about him being payed and explaining how the court was ignorant and unfair to him and he did not understand how they operated( there was some truth to this as it was obvious he was not respected by the court employees). Throughout the procedure he always seemed distant and unconcerned with the outcome of the case though he was very proactive about being payed. I would have been better of with a court appointed layer or even representing my self or even just pleading to the mercy of the court.
Choose a Better Option There are two reasons to hire a lawyer. 1. Legal knowledge 2. Timely communication with you, the client, to help you make decisions From a layman’s perspective, Nick seems to know the law. But his communication fell apart multiple times and in multiple ways causing a loss that might have been avoided if there had been an opportunity to obtain his advice. If your lawyer does not keep you updated, you can lose time, rights, money - or worse, your freedom. Choose wisely.
