Lisa Ramsay Cole is a highly experienced and accomplished attorney with a strong focus on civil trial litigation in various areas of law. Her practice focuses on employment law, professional liability, workers’ compensation, and general casualty defense litigation. Ms. Cole represents national, regional and local employers, regional and local health care facilities, and insurance companies.She has significant experience working with both large corporations and smaller organizations in a variety of industries.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Cole is president and managing shareholder of Lewis Thomason, as well as managing partner of the firm’s Nashville office. She also serves the firm as General Counsel and is responsible for handling ethical and professional responsibility matters for the firm. She is an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors and shareholder compensation committee.
Ms. Cole is a Supreme Court Rule 31 Mediator and is dedicated to alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation and arbitration, which can often provide more efficient and cost-effective solutions for clients.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Ms. Cole is very active in community and professional organizations. Ms. Cole was appointed by ABA President Robert Grey to serve a three-year term on the ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service. Ms. Cole was a Member of the Board of Women’s Fund. Ms. Cole has chaired various aspects of fundraisers and volunteered for the Sexual Assault Center, Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, he Nashville Symphony, Belle Meade Historical Site, the Ensworth School, the Harpeth Hall School, Montgomery Bell Academy, the American Heart Association, and the Nashville Public Library.
