Amanda represented me for my divorce case. She gotten me through the process and kept me updated on all aspects. She even spoke to me like a human being should when I was going through a lot of personal turmoil. What I wanted from the divorce was a divorce 50/50 custody and modest child support. That is exactly what I got. Amanda even walk me through the quadro process, I highly recommend. Yes she is a bulldog in court, she knows what she's talking about, don't try to interrupt her please. Highly recommend for any family law and I have met others that she represented for criminal defense cases and they highly recommend
I hired Ms. Gentry over two years ago and had a poor experience. Ms. Gentry was non-attentive, communication was poor and generally Ms. Gentry held an attitude of superiority when I asked for explanations or questioned her lack of communication with me. I was fortunate to find someone else much more caring and that treated my case and I with respect and care. While I never planned to look back at this situation, Ms. Gentry then reached out this weekend about a 2-star review I left on Google. She did not approach it with any care or concern of the mess she left me, instead she offered a full refund of fees, with the expectation of me addressing the review. This bothers me more than the initial interaction. I told her to give the money to charity and that I thought the general public should understand the poor interaction I had. To this she responded “have a nice life.” She may be a decent attorney but proves again that she is not a decent person.
This is by far the worst experience I’ve had dealing with any “professional”. I spoke with Amanda only one time briefly before the trial and she was in the middle of a big case so she wasn’t as attentive. I emailed her a week before my trial to see is she needed anything from me or needed to meet. She said no (This was a visitation case and I hired an atty because previously the judge would not hear anything I was trying to say and I could not fail my child). Amanda came walking in after trial was supposed to start and sat away from my sister and I, because she was working on another case. She was so unprepared. She had no idea it was a trial (I told her beforehand) and how unfit my child’s dad was. My child is in therapy because of his dad but the judge ruled on the fact that we were BOTH great parents. That’s because Amanda didn’t know anything about my case so couldn’t bring any of it up. When expressing my concerns she just made it a yelling match and was unapologetic.
