Carrie LaBrec has nearly 20 years of litigation and trial experience. Carrie graduated from Belmont University earning a Bachelor of Science in philosophy and sociology. After graduation, Carrie worked for the YWCA Domestic Violence Center and volunteered with CASA in Davidson County as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children in the system. Those experiences inspired Carrie to attend law school, where she could continue work advocating for people in need. Carrie ultimately attended Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon, where she served on the moot court board and earned her Juris doctor in 2007. During law school, Carrie clerked at the Marion County District Attorney’s Office and the Metro Nashville Public Defender’s Office.
After returning to Nashville, Carrie worked as an Assistant Public Defender where she gained extensive trial experience. After 3 years as a Public Defender, Carrie transitioned into civil litigation and embarked on her career as a personal injury trial attorney where, she has devoted her entire career advocating for injured Plaintiffs in all types of personal injury actions. At Morgan & Morgan, Carrie has focused her practice to specialize in the areas of slip/trip and falls, construction accidents, drownings, electrocutions, negligent/inadequate security, dram shop, falling objects/trees, dog bites, elevator injuries, explosions/burn cases, inadequate maintenance and wrongful death cases.
When Carrie is not working at the firm, she is playing soccer, practicing yoga, playing with her dogs, camping/hiking, and traveling the world.
