Ashton Smith is a shareholder based in our Nashville office, where he practices in construction and real property law. As a key member of our Construction Law Practice Group, Ashton expertly negotiates design and construction contracts and represents architects, engineers, and contractors in litigation involving defective design, construction claims, and payment disputes. He also provides legal support to homeowners’ associations, focusing on enforcing restrictive covenants and managing collection actions.
Beyond his construction law skills, Ashton brings a wealth of experience in business transactions, healthcare, regulatory, and insurance law. His diverse legal background includes serving as in-house counsel for a healthcare company, where he advised senior leadership on various matters including corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Additionally, Ashton has practiced law at esteemed firms in both Nashville and Knoxville.
