After her time working on behalf of the Guardian ad Litem Program, she became a staff attorney at Lee County Legal Aid, where she provided legal representation for indigent clients in family law matters.

Sarah received her juris doctor from Stetson University College of Law, where she graduated in the top 30 percent of her class. She participated in the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society and was an elected member of the Calvin. A. Kuenzel Student Bar Association. While at Stetson, Sarah was on the Dean’s List and the Honor Roll. She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology in December 2003.
