Born and raised outside of Flint, Michigan to hardworking parents, I held my first job at 15 years of age. I received my Undergraduate Degree from the University of Michigan, and my Law Degree from DePaul University College of Law in 1993. I have been practicing law in Illinois since 1993.
I have a common sense and non-adversarial approach to my cases, and I attempt to resolve cases quickly and efficiently, keeping costs as low as possible. I also believe in being totally honest with my clients about the status of their case, and about their options, even if it is not always what they want to hear. I want my clients to have realistic expectations about their cases, because I believe those who have a better understanding of the process will feel more in control of their case, and less anxious about the outcome.
I practice in the following areas: family law, including divorce, custody, child support, alimony/maintenance, asset division, paternity, and guardianship, as well as personal bankruptcy, debt defense, and foreclosure defense. I reside in the Western Suburbs of Chicago with my husband and two children.
